Jess Joaquin Johnson is a senior managing director for Savills Studley Occupier Services, which provides a full range of integrated real estate services and can consistently deliver any type of assignment on a worldwide basis. In that role, Jess leads the team in portfolio strategy, M&A advisory, occupancy analysis and forecasting, organizational and process streamlining, and business intelligence and analytics for both public- and private-sector clients.
Throughout his career, Jess has led a variety of client initiatives including multiple M&A advisory projects on deals totaling nearly 1 million SF in 30 countries; numerous occupancy planning and space utilization initiatives on portfolios totaling more than 8 million SF; more than 1.4 million SF of workplace programming and related occupancy forecasting; and best practices identification on more than 100 construction projects. He has also completed multiple tasks for the General Services Administration focused on streamlining the capital construction program for U.S. courthouses, federal office buildings and land ports of entry.
Jess joined Savills Studley with its acquisition of Vertical Integration, a Florida-based firm that provided integrated, full-service real estate solutions domestically and internationally for corporate and government entities. Jess lead the consulting practice at Vertical Integration for six years prior to the acquisition. Jess’s diverse experience in real estate also includes policy advising for a large, metropolitan county spanning budget, land use, zoning, environmental, and water issues as well as commercial real estate appraisal experience.
Jess’s work has been published in the Corporate Real Estate Journal, a peer-reviewed professional journal, and he has been selected to present at CoreNet’s Global Summit in 2012 and 2013. In 2011, his team was named a finalist for CoreNet’s Global Innovator’s Award. Jess was named Outstanding Young Alumnus for the University of Florida’s Division of Student Affairs and was recognized in the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Up and Comers Under 30 division. In 2004, Jess was inducted into UF’s Hall of Fame.
Jess received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance, a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, as well as a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Florida.
