With over thirteen years of experience in tenant representation, Jim Bell specializes in office lease acquisition, lease disposition and lease restructuring as a managing director at Savills Studley. His transaction expertise, attention to detail and commitment to excellence create bottom line savings and risk adverse real estate solutions that ultimately benefit his clients.

Jim has negotiated transactions totaling in excess of 5 million square feet. Jim has represented noteworthy companies including the following representative tenant transactions: Parsley Energy’s 150,000 SF headquarters relocation from Midland to Austin, TX; Bank of Nova Scotia’s 35,000 SF restructure at Pennzoil Place; IDG Engineering’s 39,000 SF relocation to Granite Tower; Alta Resources’s 20,000 SF expansion and renewal at One Allen Center; Richard Mithoff’s 10,000 SF renewal at One Allen Center; Consulate of France’s 11,000 SF renewal at 777 Post Oak; Holman Fenwick’s 15,000 SF relocation to Sage Plaza and Rice Energy’s 4,000 SF expansion Three Allen Center.

In addition to lease transactions, Jim has represented W2 Entertainment d/b/a White Oak Music Hall’s  purchase of 30 acres north of Downtown Houston and Parkside Capital’s land dispositions at West Ten Business Park to companies such as retailer Buc-ee’s.

Activities & Achievements

Jim is an active alumnus of St. John’s School and Trinity University. Jim is serving his second term on the St.John's Alumni Board. He also volunteers at Mission Squash, a youth entrichment program that combines academic coaching, squash training and community service for students grades 6 to 12. 


Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science with minors in business and history from Trinity University.
