Jim Brown, Senior Managing Director and Head of Project Management, brings over 30 years of experience in commercial and corporate real estate project management to Savills Studley Occupier Services. In his regional leadership role, Jim develops and implements annual business plans to strategically grow clients’ business and platform. His responsibilities include defining product and commercial offerings, sales, platform development, operations, client satisfaction and financial performance. He works closely with Savills Studley’s brokerage offices network to assure local project managers are leveraged to support Occupier Services’ client operations.
Prior to joining Savills Studley, Jim began his career at the Brooklyn Union Gas Company as a project engineer in the corporate facilities department. After a move to the west coast, Jim worked with Maguire Thomas Partners before joining Trammell Crow Co. (TCC) as an account director on the first multi-service outsource account, Baxter Healthcare. Jim advanced through several positions with TCC over 14 years; notably Vice President of Projects for Bank One and Managing Director of America’s Project Operations, where he was responsible for developing the business infrastructure for the project’s line of business. In 2009, Jim moved to the Global Workplace Solutions division of Johnson Controls, where he initially developed solutions for new full service accounts before advancing to the Global Product Leader role for Project Management.
Jim led the merger of project management operations following CBRE’s acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. which combined staff of 1,000+ project managers. He also developed and managed a global re-organization and new marketing plan for Global Workplace Solutions consisting of 600 plus project managers. Over his career, he has led project management accounts and organizations that have managed in excess of $10B in project value.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
