John joined Savills Studley in 1985 and has been the head of the firm's Chicago office since 1999, helping to build the Chicago team into one of the top tenant representation practices in the Midwest. As a member of Savills Studley’s board of directors and its seven-person executive committee, John plays a key role in providing leadership and strategic vision within the company.
Considered an expert on the downtown Chicago office market, John has managed more than 14 million square feet of transactions valued at more than $1 billion. His 20 years of executing real estate transactions in Chicago makes him one of the most respected tenant representatives in the area with a reputation for unqualified integrity and insight. Through unparalleled advocacy and creativity, John has turned real estate into a strategic advantage for a multitude of clients including Caremark, the American Bar Association, Citigroup, and Smurfit-Stone.
John is active in and is a past board member of the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association (COLBA) and was honored in 2002 with the prestigious Greater Chicago Food Depository Commercial Real Estate Award for “Office Broker of the Year” and again in 2007. He is also a board member of both the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith and SGA Youth and Family Services.
John earned a Bachelor of Science in economics at Vanderbilt University.
