John Scoblick is Corporate Managing Director of Savills Studley in Austin, where he specializes in representing corporate clients in negotiating real estate solutions for office, industrial and land requirements across a wide range of industries, including the technology, energy, legal and engineering sectors. John’s integrated business perspective has been developed as a result of executive positions in corporate real estate, energy, commercial real estate services and senior business roles with both start up and multibillion dollar corporations.
Prior to joining Savills Studley, John led the Austin office of KMD Studley and was a Principal with Cresa. John’s professional background includes six years in the corporate world as Vice President and Director with a Fortune 100 firm where he completed transactions with an aggregate value of over $325 million, including the lease financing of a 1.2 million SF headquarters building; a 300,000 SF CBD office lease; the roll out of a national telecommunications network and the acquisition and disposition of a diverse portfolio of real estate assets in both domestic and international locations. John has also held senior strategic roles in venture capital, energy services, bridge financing, and business development, where he negotiated a number of multi-million dollar contracts.
Activities & Achievements
John is the founding President of the Central Texas Chapter (Austin/San Antonio) of CoreNet Global, the largest corporate real estate association in the world and has also served on the board of the Houston CoreNet Global Chapter. He was formerly the Vice Chairman for the CBMC Houston Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast and served on the advisory board of the Economic Development Committee of the Houston Downtown District. He has authored articles for the Urban Land Institute, Real Estate Directory News, and Houston Business Journal and has presented for organizations including the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) and the Texas A&M Mays Graduate Business School. John was also a member of the #1 ranked sales team in the United States by Sales Marketing & Management Magazine.
John earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Bloomsburg University and an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.
