John Scoblick is Corporate Managing Director of Savills Studley in Austin, where he specializes in representing corporate clients in negotiating real estate solutions for office, industrial and land requirements across a wide range of industries, including the technology, energy, legal and engineering sectors. John’s integrated business perspective has been developed as a result of executive positions in corporate real estate, energy, commercial real estate services and senior business roles with both startup and multibillion dollar corporations.

John’s professional background includes six years in the corporate world as Vice President with a Fortune 100 firm where he completed transactions with an aggregate value of over $325 million, including the lease financing of a 1.2 million-square-foot headquarters building; a 300,000-square-foot CBD office lease; the roll out of a national telecommunications network and the acquisition and disposition of a diverse portfolio of international real estate assets. John has also held senior strategic roles in venture capital (providing debt and equity to women and minority owned firms), energy services and bridge financing, where he negotiated a number of multi-million dollar contracts.

Activities & Achievements

In 2017, John was named a Commercial Real Estate Heavy Hitter by the Austin Business Journal. His team’s representation of a 104,000-square-foot client at the Domain was nominated for the 2016 Office Lease Transaction of the Year. He is the founding President of the Central Texas Chapter (Austin/San Antonio) of CoreNet Global He has served as Vice Chairman for the CBMC Houston Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast and on the advisory board of the Economic Development Committee of the Houston Downtown District. He has authored articles for the Urban Land Institute, Real Estate Directory News and Houston Business Journal, and has presented for organizations including the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) and the USGBC (United States Green Building Council). He has completed a marathon and Tony Robbins’ “Fire Walk.”

Education

John earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Bloomsburg University and an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.
