A Savills Studley veteran since 1979, Kurt has not only worked on some of the company’s most important transactions, he has also played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth.  He was the firm’s first financial analyst, creating what is now an integral component to Savills Studley’s team-oriented structure.  Kurt can be best characterized as an innovator—in not only the way he approaches his clients’ real estate requirements and challenges, but also in the many forward-thinking systems he has developed for Savills Studley.   Kurt works on one of Savills Studley’s most prolific teams, which focuses on not-for-profits, law, financial services, and government assignments.  His team has represented 15 of the largest 50 not-for-profits in Manhattan, and for clients, handles all facets of their lease negotiations, space or building acquisitions and dispositions and development.  He also provides his clients with ancillary information that pertains to their business even if it doesn’t relate their real estate.   His keen understanding of the market, lease clauses and their financial impact has led him to handle numerous complex lease negotiations and represent clients in large arbitrations.

He was the firm’s first financial analyst, creating what is now an integral component to Savills Studley’s team-oriented structure.  He also developed many of the firm’s first computer programs, network and financial models that bolstered Savills Studley’s negotiating power and enabled the firm to expedite its information sharing, research and reporting mechanisms.

Kurt works on one of Savills Studley’s most prolific teams, which focuses on not-for-profits; law and financial services firms; and foreign governments.  His team has represented 14 of the largest 50 not-for-profits in Manhattan, and for clients, handles all facets of their lease negotiations, space or building acquisitions and dispositions and development.  He also provides his clients with ancillary information that pertains to their business even if it doesn’t relate to real estate at all.  Some of his most notable clients include American Red Cross, Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, Sullivan & Cromwell, Clinton Global Initiative, and CUNY.

His keen understanding of the market, lease clauses and their financial impact has led him to handle numerous complex lease negotiations and represent clients in large arbitrations.

Kurt holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Hamilton College.
