Since Mark Ayers entered the commercial real estate profession two decades ago, he has been continually recognized as an industry leader in the Carolinas, and throughout the nation. Focusing on corporate/tenant representation, Mark specializes in high-value, complex transactions for financial, professional service, technology and industrial companies. He is an expert in transaction management and a skilled negotiator.
Prior to opening Savills Studley’s Charlotte office, Mark was formerly on the board of the tenant representation firm Cresa and was a founding managing principal of Cresa Charlotte. In June 2016, Savills Studley acquired Cresa Charlotte. Mark led his team in this acquisition negotiation.
Previous to this, Mark served as Managing Director of The Staubach Company's Charlotte office where he partnered with clients on local and national levels. Before that, Mark was Vice President with Trammell Crow Company in Charlotte, North Carolina, primarily performing leasing duties throughout Charlotte, including uptown and suburbia. Mark started his real estate career in the Corporate Real Estate Department for NationsBank (Bank of America) where he spent time as an Internal Relationship Manager and a member of the Headquarters Leasing Team.
Mark is a licensed real estate broker in both North and South Carolina and is a member of the Commercial Board of Realtors, Charlotte Region.
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1985 from Muskingum College in New Concord, OH and his MBA from Ashland University in Ashland, OH
