Melissa joined Savills Studley in 2004 and provides real estate advisory and transaction services to a number of the firm’s largest clients, including the General Service Administration (GSA).
As a transaction manager for GSA, Melissa is responsible for strategic planning and lease procurement for federal agencies in Region 2, which is a portfolio of roughly 2.3 million square feet encompassing New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the Unite State Virgin Islands. Her adept ability to handle every aspect of the real estate transaction from site selection and financial analysis to lease negotiation, execution and move-in has been critical to her success with agencies such as the IRS, SSA, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation, and Drug Enforcement Administration.
Prior to this role, Melissa acted as an analyst for one of Savills Studley’s consulting teams, engaging in strategic planning, lease abstracting, and relocation versus renewal analyses. She gained her financial experience as an analyst at JP Morgan Chase in its Global Investment Bank - International Fixed Income Department, where she participated in a four-year rotational program in the Settlements, Derivatives, Brady and Euro Bond Trading, and Analytics groups.
Melissa’s solid background in financial analysis, strategic planning and project management enables her to offer her clients a macro perspective on how real estate complements their overall business goals.
Melissa is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and is a committee member for UJA of Westchester for Program Services.
Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a concentration in finance. She also participated in a business exchange program with the University of Seville in Spain at The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business. In Spain, Melissa interned at El Monte Savings Bank of Seville, where she became proficient in Spanish.
