Michael recently joined Savills Baltimore Office following an 11-year stint as the President of BTR Capital Group. During his tenure with BTR, Michael acquired, managed and disposed of a 4 million square foot portfolio of properties consisting of primarily industrial assets and land located in the Baltimore area. As Senior Managing Director, Michael is focused on industrial and warehouse tenants with an expertise in commercial port-related assets. In particular, Michael has been focused on developing and implementing real estate redevelopment strategy for clients to help them transform outdated buildings for new productive uses.

Prior to leading BTR, Michael worked for Magnum Capital Partners in Omaha, NE where he acquired and managed $800 million of office and net leased retail properties located throughout the Midwest. Michael started his commercial real estate career in 1989 with Savills in their Washington, DC office. As a member of Savills National Accounts Group, Michael used his finance and accounting background and strong project management skills to represent a variety of law firms, associations and corporate tenants all across the country.

Michael’s broad and lengthy experience in commercial real estate and complex financial transactions makes him uniquely qualified to represent the best interests of the end users of space.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

Michael is active in a number of charitable endeavors throughout the Baltimore area and is past president of the Holiday Food Baskets Program. Michael has also spent many years coaching and leading a youth basketball league.
