Michelle Turner is a managing director for Savills Studley Occupier Services, which provides a full range of integrated real estate services and can consistently deliver any type of assignment on a worldwide basis. In that role, Michelle provides portfolio strategy, M&A advisory, occupancy analysis and forecasting, organizational and process streamlining, and business intelligence and analytics for both public- and private-sector clients.
Michelle joined Savills Studley with its acquisition of Vertical Integration, a Florida-based firm that provided integrated, full-service real estate solutions domestically and internationally for corporate and government entities.For over 8 years, she has specialized in portfolio optimization and analyses of real estate processes and assets to determine future strategy, including potential acquisition and disposition opportunities. Michelle has served a variety of regional and national clients in the real estate industry by assisting with operational effectiveness, business risk mitigation and portfolio strategy. Most recently, she led the implementation of portfolio optimization strategies for a large global professional services firm with a portfolio of more than 5 million square feet. She was also responsible for providing ongoing corporate strategy services including enterprise business planning for the Southeast’s largest retail developer in order to preserve, enhance, and create portfolio value.
Previously, Michelle was a senior associate at PwC in the Real Estate Advisory Services practice where over 4 years of consulting experience included working with numerous institutional real estate clients with portfolios ranging from $200 million to $2 billion. In this capacity, she provided a variety of advisory services, due diligence, valuation, underwriting, and audit support. She managed several audit support engagements by analyzing third-party appraisals of portfolios containing various types of domestic and international assets including multi-family, office, industrial, retail, hotel, and land, in order to test the reasonableness of the methodology and key assumptions. Additionally, she provided client leadership with valuation services such as obtaining and analyzing market data, including sales and rent comparables, vacancy rates, discount and capitalization rates, expense ratios and cost data in U.S. and international real estate markets. Michelle has co-authored thought leadership articles discussing current trends and key issues affecting the real estate environment and which were included in PwC's marketing and industry publications. Prior to her consulting role, she served as financial reporting analyst for PwC Tax practice leadership.
Michelle is a member of University of Florida’s Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies. In 2014, she served on the Executive Committee for Making Strides against Breast Cancer.
Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a minor in marketing from the University of Central Florida; graduating Summa Cum Laude. She also earned a Master of Science in real estate from the University of Florida.
