Mike is a senior managing director for Savills Studley Occupier Services, which provides a full range of integrated real estate services and can consistently deliver any type of assignment on a worldwide basis. Through his consultative, client-centric approach to tenant representation, particularly for multi-market accounts, Mike has completed commercial real estate transactions totaling more than 4.1 million square feet. His work on behalf of occupiers of real estate consists of a very diverse clientele ranging from Fortune 500 companies to all levels of government entities. In the last few years alone, Mike has spearheaded efforts that have resulted in cumulative savings to his clients in excess of $45 million. Mike has provided advisory services on over 220 million square feet of leased and owned facilities.
Mike’s specialized expertise in state government tenant representation has made him a sought after speaker to government professional organizations and contributor to real estate publications. He has also been a guest lecturer at University of South Florida (USF), Eckerd College and Hillsborough Community College. In addition, Mike assisted USF with the development of its inaugural Master’s Degree program in Real Estate.
Mike joined Savills Studley with its acquisition of Vertical Integration, a Florida-based firm that provided integrated, full-service real estate solutions domestically and internationally for corporate and government entities. Mike led the tenant representation practice for 11 years at Vertical Integration. While studying at USF, Mike served as a two-term President of the Student Body, where his responsibilities included overseeing an annual budget in excess of $7 million and a staff of over 60 people. Mike also served as a charter member of the USF Board of Trustees for two years.
Activities & Achievements
Mike recently completed more than 8 years serving as founding Chairman for the USF Financing Corporation Board of Directors, which oversees the bond financing of projects for USF. Under his leadership, more than $1.2 billion in financing transactions have closed resulting in more than 1.8 million square feet of projects, with facilities ranging from residence halls to sophisticated medical research buildings and office space.
Since 2004, Mike has been an active member of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, currently serving on the Executive Committee as Chairman-Elect. Mike will become Chairman in 2017, where he will serve as one of the youngest Chairs in the Chamber’s more than 130 year history. He is also on USF’s National Alumni Association Board of Directors and Executive Committee, currently serving as Immediate Past Chairman. In addition, Mike is an active member of the Boy Scouts of America Gulf Ridge Council Executive Board and INTO-USF Board of Directors. Previously, Mike was an avid participant with the USF Property Corporation; Emerge Tampa Bay, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Chair; Hillsborough County School Board Citizen Advisory Committee Chairman and Florida Department of Education Advisory Council on Educational Facilities.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing from the University of South Florida. He also earned his Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University and is a Florida licensed real estate broker.
