As a managing director in Savills Studley’s Suburban Washington, DC office, Randy has successfully merged his expertise in commercial land acquisition and development with tenant advisory services for corporate clients throughout the Washington, DC region. With over thirty years of experience in commercial real estate leasing, sales and development, Randy has been involved in a wide range of transactions including lease acquisition and disposition, building and land purchase and sale, joint ventures and design-build/build-to-suit structures. Throughout his career, he has been involved with projects totaling over five million square feet valued at nearly $700 million. Prior to joining the firm, Randy was vice president of leasing and sales for several major local developers which delivered over five million square feet of office and flex space in sixteen business parks within the DC metropolitan area.
Activities & Achievements
Randy is ranking member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties’ (NAIOP) Northern Virginia chapter board of directors, where he served as Chairman in 2006 and remains on its executive committee. In addition, he is a member of the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance Board and serves on the executive committee of the Virginia Association for Commercial Real Estate. Outside of the office, Randy is a frequent guest speaker at economic development and market update events, including NAIOP’s annual market forecast and has testified before state and county legislative bodies on topics relating to industry matters.
Randy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from West Virginia University, where he completed graduate work in business administration and public administration. He also completed economic development courses at Georgia Tech and the University of Oklahoma.
