Richard Plonsker is Senior Managing Director in Savills Chicago office. He brings over 30 years of experience as a commercial real estate broker and consultant to corporations, professional partnerships, not-for-profit organizations and institutions who require expert advice, creative solutions, and strategic execution to achieve their real estate objectives.

Rich represents his clients in complex assignments including the leasing, acquisition and disposition of office and industrial assets in Chicago, across the US and around the world. Awards, Achievements and Activities

Rich is committed to public service, and has been involved extensively in charitable and civic activities. He is a longtime supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has served in the following leadership roles: Sustaining Board Member, 2020-present; Chicago Real Estate Games Founding Chair, 2018 and 2019, and Steering Committee Member, 2020 to present; Illinois Research Chair, 2002-2004; and Board Member and Executive Committee Member, 1997-2004.

A business and community leader, Rich’s volunteer activities include serving on the City of Lake Forest, Illinois Zoning Board of Appeals from 2013 to 2019, serving as President of the Lake Forest High School Booster Board from 2006-2008, and serving on the Dean’s Advisory Council of Indiana University Kelley School of Business from 2006 to 2010. His is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.

Rich has been recognized many times for the representation of his clients and his industry expertise. He is a multi-year finalist and 2016 winner of the NAIOP Office Transaction of the Year and has been named a finalist in multiple years for the Greater Chicago Food Depository Real Estate Awards Transaction of the Year.
