Rick joined Savills Studley in 1991 and has been a co-branch manager of the firm’s Chicago office since 1997. In addition to leading a team of eight professionals who primarily represent the full spectrum of service firms, industry and non-profit, Rick plays an integral role in forming the strategic direction of the firm through his position as a member of Savills Studley’s board of directors. Rick is also the Central Region Lead with oversight responsibilities for operations between Chicago and Denver.
In his commercial real estate career, Rick has represented some of Chicago’s and the nation’s most prestigious companies and has negotiated some of the country’s most significant real estate transactions. His extensive knowledge in building infrastructure issues and their impact on business operations has enabled him to provide expert counsel to clients in all business, government and non-profit areas. Rick’s notable clients include Goldman Sachs, Illinois Tool Works, McGladrey, T. Rowe Price, and Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Rick’s advisory role with these clients is local, national or global in scope.
Activities & Achievements
Rick is actively involved with a number of charitable organizations including the Greater Chicago Food Depository and Erikson Institute. Rick is also a founding director of Greenhouse Scholars Chicago. In 2002, 2007 and again in 2011, Rick was honored with the prestigious Greater Chicago Food Depository Commercial Real Estate Award for “Office Broker of the Year”. This honor is voted on by his peers in the industry. He has dedicated his expertise to multiple non-profits including YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, and the Erikson Institute, where he is a member of the board of trustees.
Rick earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Colorado.
