At Savills Studley, Robert specializes in the development and implementation of strategic plans that align his clients’ real estate with their overall organizational objectives and financial goals. Through his expertise, Robert has helped his clients remain profitable and nimble through shifting business climates.
Robert was named Executive Vice President and Co-Head of the Chicago office in 2014, taking over the management of the operations, recruitment, training & development, research and marketing initiatives, in addition to his professional broker responsibilities. In 2014, the office was the only real estate services firm to be voted as one of Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.
Activities & Achievements
In 2015, Robert and his partner, Joe Learner were named Crain’s “Chicago Office Broker of the Year,” for the second time (winners in 2012 and finalists in 2007 and 2008). In 2013 and 2014, Robert received coveted accolades for his representation of The Big Ten Conference, including NAIOP’s “Office Development of the Year” and Crain’s “Chicago Build to Suit Project of the Year,” becoming the only person to win in that same category for two consecutive years and the first person ever to win an award at the event four straight years. In 2007, Robert was selected by the National Real Estate Journal as one of the country’s most distinguished real estate professionals under the age of 35.
Robert is an active board member for the Lycée Francais of Chicago and a member of the Real Estate Steering Committee for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, which he chaired in 2010. He is also a member of the French-American Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, Robert was recently a world ranked tennis player and sits on the Board of Advisors for Northwestern University’s Men’s Tennis Team, in which he competed as a varsity player during his collegiate career. Robert grew up in South Africa and Europe and is fluent in French, Italian, and Afrikaans.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, attended the London School of Economics and completed an MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
