Robert Sevim is the President of Savills Chicago region. In addition to his role as one of the most senior advisors within the company, Robert works closely with the firm’s leaders to recruit talent, identify areas of growth, and foster collaboration between business functions across the Chicago market. In his real estate career, Robert Sevim has executed over 30 million square feet of transactions valued at more than $20 billion. With an exceptional client roster including News Corporation, UnitedHealth Group, The Big Ten Conference, Humana, CVS Aetna, Exelon and numerous AMLAW 200 law firms, Robert has developed a reputation for solving the complex real estate challenges of organizations spanning many geographies and property types. He is a dedicated advisor to a broad spectrum of business types, where sophisticated business acumen is highly valued and critical to project success. Robert specializes in the development and implementation of strategic plans that align his clients’ real estate with their overall organizational objectives and financial goals.

Prior to being named President in 2023, Robert served as Vice Chairman and Co-Head of the Chicago office since 2014, taking over the management of the operations, recruitment, training & development, research and marketing initiatives, in addition to his professional broker responsibilities. Robert also serves on the firm’s North American Brokerage Board of Directors.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

In 2022, 2021, 2018, 2016, 2015 and 2012, Robert and his advisory team partner, Joe Learner, were named Crain’s “Chicago Office Broker of the Year.” They were also finalists in 2008 and 2007. In 2017 the pair was named to Crain’s list of “Most Influential Commercial Real Estate Brokers in Chicago.” In 2023, 2017 and 2016 Robert was listed among Crain’s “Who’s Who in Chicago Business.” In 2014 and 2013, he received coveted accolades for his representation of The Big Ten Conference, including NAIOP’s “Office Development of the Year” and Crain’s “Chicago Build to Suit Project of the Year,” becoming the only person to win in that same category for two consecutive years. In 2007, Robert was selected by the National Real Estate Journal as one of the country’s most distinguished real estate professionals under the age of 35.

Robert is past Chair of the Board for the Lycée Francais of Chicago and is a member of the Real Estate Steering Committee for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, which he chaired in 2010. Additionally, Robert sits on the Board of Advisors for Northwestern University’s Men’s Tennis Team, on which he competed as a varsity player during his collegiate career. Robert is an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
