Scott Katcher began his tenant representation practice in 1989. He applies his consultative skills to corporate users in a variety of industries on a local and national level.
He has represented the interests of tenants in excess of 3.5 million square feet and has worked with clients such as Sanyo Fisher, Tetra Tech Inc., University of Redlands, Adelphia Communications, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in multi-market and multi-transactional requirements. In addition to representing tenants, Scott has also established a background in representing the interests of buyers and sellers of investment and owner/user property.
While working with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), Scott developed and implemented a strategic real estate plan, which included a comprehensive analysis and study comparing the cost of a build-to-suit with the cost of retrofitting an existing facility. The final result was a decision to purchase an existing facility which ultimately saved AMPAS over $10 million.
Scott applied his process management and Core Delivery Team leadership skills in guiding the team which delivered a multistate search and in-depth analyses, including strategic services and financial consulting services, to determine the most appropriate and adequate location for Lucent Technology’s Western region facility. It was determined that remaining in California was the best possible solution due to real estate cost savings, employee retention and available technology.
Scott received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bernard Baruch College in Manhattan.
