Steven has over a decade of experience as an advisor and advocate for commercial tenants. He represents clients on a local, regional and national basis and is involved in all aspects of each assignment, from strategic planning to transaction implementation. Steven started his real estate career at Savills Studley, and for a time was a Managing Director at Newmark Knight Frank before returning to Savills Studley in 2007. Steven also has a background in finance and risk management and was previously an advisor to institutional investors on real estate investments and the capital markets. He draws on this experience in creating real estate strategies that address the financial goals of his clients while, at the same time, negotiating terms that provide the flexibility needed to adapt to changing operating environments. Steven's diverse client base is a testament to his ability to work with senior decision-makers and his understanding of the key financial, operational, and strategic drivers of a successful business plan. Steven also has extensive experience with private companies, and has been engaged in post change-of-control scenarios where new ownership desires to evaluate and restructure the real estate portfolio to enhance profits and grow the business.
Activities & Achievements
Steven volunteers his time with the Atlanta chapter of Year Up, where he mentors young adults who are participating in an intensive twelve-month business education / internship program. He serves, and has served, on the boards and committees of various local private organizations.
Steven graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University with degrees in English and Business Administration. He earned his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.
