Tim is a member of Savills Studley’s government real estate advisory practice, which serves the General Services Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs, among other clients. His expertise in market research, financial analysis, procurement development, and negotiation strategy helps clients make confident decisions.
As the former research manager for Savills Studley’s Washington office, Tim led the production of quarterly market reports and managed the collection of market intelligence for new-client development.
Tim is an accredited LEED Green Associate and is active in U.S. Green Building Council’s National Capital Region Chapter.
Activities & Achievements
Prior to joining Savills Studley in 2007, Tim spent seven years as a business reporter for several publications, including the Washington Business Journal and American Banker. His work also appeared on MSNBC.com and in Japan’s Yomiuri Shimbun, the world’s largest newspaper. Tim won several awards for his news reporting, including a Dateline award for enterprise reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists in Washington.
Outside of the office, Tim has spent time teaching as an adjunct professor at American University and volunteering for Street Wise Partners, Greater D.C. Cares, and Street Sense newspaper.
Tim graduated from American University where he earned a BA in journalism with a minor in economics. He also completed an executive program at USC’s Marshall School of Business on negotiation strategy and conflict resolution.
