Tim Mazzucca

 

Professional Expertise

Since joining the firm in 2007, Tim Mazzucca has been providing government agencies and corporate clients with transaction management, portfolio optimization and capital planning services throughout the country. As an assistant director operating out of the Washington, DC office, Tim specializes in creating viable, competitive procurements that successfully meet tenants’ programmatic requirements and schedule constraints. Tim incorporates best practices from public and private sectors to create unique approaches to each real estate solution.

Over the course of his more than 10 years in the industry, Tim has gained extensive deal experience with office, industrial and healthcare users in diverse transaction structures. He has successfully implemented real estate solutions involving leases, subleases, building purchases, dispositions and sale leasebacks across more than 20 states. He has also negotiated across from some of the largest REITs, institutions, and sponsors including Boston Properties, Brookfield, COPT, Lend Lease, JBG Smith, TIAA, and Washington REIT.

Prior to his current role within the firm, Tim worked as an associate, project associate and research analyst. Before entering commercial real estate, Tim was an adjunct professor at American University, reporter for the Washington Business Journal and a reporter with the American Banker.

Tim’s team is led by veterans David Lipson, Julie Rayfield and Mett Miller. As client- first tenant advocates, Tim and his team ensure their clients receive all-inclusive services and absolutely zero conflict of interest.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

Outside of the office, Tim is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council’s National Capital Chapter, as well as the Federal Real Property Association. In 2013, Tim’s GSA/NSF work was recognized as the ‘Deal of the Year’ by the Washington Business Journal.
