Members of the business intelligence team from Savills Studley Occupier Services recently held an on-site “Genius Bar” event for a global professional services firm – answering questions, conducting demonstrations and sharing best practices with more than 80 power users of a curated real estate business intelligence environment managed by Savills Studley and co-developed with our client.
The Occupier Services team manages the integration and delivery of millions of rows of data for this client from financial, HR and spatial systems as well as occupancy data derived from IP network activity, space reservations and security card swipes.
Walking through more than 40 dashboards that present near real-time information on every facet of real estate, the Savills Studley team empowered these client-users to customize their own reports and analysis through filtering, downloading and exporting data from the dashboards. They even showed users how to get reports automatically delivered to their email inboxes with whatever frequency required.
As firms – and their real estate departments – contend with increasing amounts of available data, the ability to quickly analyze that data to decipher actionable strategies becomes a key strategic advantage. Foundational to our approach in creating this strategic advantage for Savills Studley clients is leveraging big data and real estate business intelligence from multiple internal and external sources to turn information into insight, insight into opportunity and opportunity into reality.
