The Innocence Project Joins the Gap

A nonprofit litigation organization is moving into the future home of Gap Inc.'s headquarters in TriBeCa.

The Innocence Project signed a 10-year lease for 20,300 square feet at 40 Worth St. The tenant will move into part of the seventh floor of the 16-story, 703,000-square-foot building, between Church Street and West Broadway.  ...

"This building and its landlord are a good fit for The Innocence Project," said Nicholas Farmakis of Studley who, along with his colleague John Mambrino, represented the tenant in the transaction. "Mr. Gural owns several properties that are heavily tenanted by nonprofits, and as a result, understood their needs and was able to structure an amenable transaction." ...

...The Innocence Project plans to relocate from its current offices at 100 Fifth Ave. to its new space in the beginning of 2011. Average asking rents for the building are $34 per square foot, according to CoStar Group Inc. ...
