International commercial real estate services firm Studley announced today that it was once again awarded the U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA) National Broker Contract, a contract that Studley originally won in 2004 and has been fulfilling since that time.
Accordingly, Studley will continue to provide tenant advisory and commercial real estate leasing services to the more than 100 U.S. federal agencies that rely on GSA for lease-acquisition services under the GSA leasing-services program. GSA manages about 100 million square feet - 45 million owned and 55 million leased - in the DC metropolitan area. Nationwide, GSA's lease portfolio consists of more than 8,000 properties across the U.S., totaling an estimated 184 million square feet.
Since 2004, Studley has assisted the GSA with the procurement of approximately 600 leases nationwide and is currently managing almost 300 real estate transactions on behalf of the U.S. federal government and its contractors, including structuring new leases, land and building sales, and build-to-suit developments. Recent transactions include the U.S. Department of Justice (575,000 square-feet in Washington, DC), ARRA (249,000 square feet), and The Department of Education (39,000 square feet in Philadelphia, PA).
