A Utah digital marketing company has picked Old Town Scottsdale for what could be a 500-worker sales and operations center.
That company, Clearlink, also filled some downtown Scottsdale space previously occupied by troubled human resources technology company Zenefits.
One of the commercial real estate brokers who helped Salt Lake City-based Clearlink with that site selection said Scottsdale beat out Denver and Las Vegas as well as other sites in Texas, California and the Phoenix area.
Michael White, senior managing director with Savills Studley, helped Clearlink with its search for space.
White said the Utah company looked at several different states and markets but wanted to be near colleges and plenty of college-age students and graduates.
That and all the restaurants, shopping and walkability landed the company at the Galleria Corporate Centre in Old Town. How Scottsdale leased up Zenefits’ old space and beat out Texas, Colorado, California for 500 jobs
