Studley Announces Promotions of Three New York Brokers at Annual Winter Trip in Berlin

International commercial real estate services firm Studley recently announced the promotion of three professionals in its Midtown Manhattan office at the firms coveted annual winter trip, this year in Berlin. Scott Weiss has been promoted to corporate managing director from managing director, Zev J. Holzman, Esq. has been promoted to managing director from associate director, and David Dwight has been promoted from analyst to assistant director.
David Dwight (43) joined Studley in 1999 as an analyst that supports one of Studley’s most prolific brokerage teams led by Executive Vice President Ira Schuman. His background in architecture and finance offers his team and ultimately Studley’s clients a unique skill set that helps them not only make the best space options, but also provides intelligence to execute them.
His breadth of expertise from financial modeling, equity research and commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) loans to space design and construction enables him to understand the feasibility of his projects and how to best execute them to meet his clients’ needs. Some of his most notable clients include the American Red Cross, Cravath, Swaine & Moore, The New School University, and Credit Suisse Asset Management.
Prior to joining Studley Mr. Dwight worked as an architect on large-scale domestic and international commercial real estate developments. He graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and received his Masters of Business Administration from New York University with a major in finance.
An attorney, Zev J. Holzman, Esq. (31) joined Studley in 2008 and is responsible for new business development and providing strategic advisory and transaction management services to his clients, many of whom are based in the legal and financial sectors. Some of his more recent and noteworthy clients include: Quadrangle Group, Kingdon Capital, Stephens, Inc., CQS, Dexia Credit Local, Kingsbrook Advisors, Duval & Stachenfeld, Jaffe & Asher, The World Gold Council, Dna Models, and the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions.
Prior to joining Studley, Mr. Holzman worked with The Staubach Company, a national tenant representation firm which was acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle, The New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Antitrust Bureau, as well as in the real estate practice group of law firm, Stroock, Stroock, & Lavan LLP.
Mr. Holzman graduated cum laude and received his Bachelor of Arts from American University in Washington DC, during which time he also studied at the Comparative Law Institute in the Netherlands and United Kingdom. He graduated cum laude from New York Law School and is a member of both the New York and New Jersey bar. He is affiliated with the New York County Lawyers Association, The New York State Bar Association, and The Real Estate Board of New York.
Since joining Studley in 2002, Scott Weiss (30) has focused on providing his clients, representing a wide variety of industries, with strategic real estate counsel. He has completed transactions in excess 600,000 square feet.
One of Mr. Weiss’ most notable achievements at Studley was initiating the relationship with one of the firm’s most notable clients—New York Law School. Some of his other clients of note include Whatley Drake & Kallas, St. Johns University, Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst, The Screen Actors Guild, and Elliot Associates.
Prior to joining Studley, Mr. Weiss worked as a tenant and landlord representative at Colliers International’s New York Office, at ING Barings’ Structured Financial Group in London, as well as at Edward Jones.
Mr. Weiss received his Bachelor of Science in business administration with a focus in finance and international business from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. He is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York and the Washington University Alumni Association of New York.
