Lisa Davidson
Savills Studley

Davidson joined Studley, now Savills Studley, in 1997. Today she has almost 30 years of experience acting as an advocate on behalf of commercial tenants in Downtown Chicago and the Midwest. She is among Savills Studley's top performers, executing more than 14 million square feet of transactions. She is also recognized as an expert in reducing real estate costs for corporate space users for her diverse client portfolio, which includes law firms, financial services firms, major corporations and associations. Most notably, she has developed an exceptional practice in the area of early lease restructuring that has helped numerous firms achieve favorable rental rates, incentives and concessions. Yet Davidson stands out amongst her counterparts not just for her success in the industry; she also beat the odds of overcoming a challenging upbringing. Davidson grew up in the inner city of Chicago and began working at the age of nine cleaning houses. She attended a high school in a blue-collar neighborhood where few students had the opportunity to go to college. Even as the valedictorian of her graduating class, Davidson was given little direction in taking th next step towards a successful future. Her turning point came when a long-time resident of the community, the owner of a neighborhood business who had known her since she was five years old, encouraged her to apply to Northwestern. She applied, got in, paid her way through and upon graduating, took the biggest risk of all - a commission-based job in commercial real estate.
