JIBE, an online venture that integrates Facebook and LinkedIn with a job board, has joined the ranks of Internet start-ups that have recently taken brick-and-mortar space in Manhattan. The technology company, which until now had been operating out of a shared-space facility at 902 Broadway, will occupy a portion of the fifth floor at 26 West 17th Street, brokers said.
The 2,664-square-foot lease was located by Studley’s Jason Schwartzenberg, who represented the tenant in the transaction. Robert Fink of the Winter Organization negotiated the lease in-house for Winter, the building’s owner.
“The space was originally being marketed as a one-year sublet,” Mr. Schwartzenberg said. “After negotiations, we were able to arrange for the tenant to do a direct three-year deal lease with the landlord.” ...
