The Austin retail market (Neighborhood & Community Shopping Centers) ended Q1 2015 with a vacancy rate of 6.5%. The rate decreased from the previous quarter’s rate of 6.6% but increased from the rate one year ago (6.4%). Neighborhood Shopping Centers reported a vacancy rate of 5.8% for the quarter, which increased from the rate of 5.6% twelve months ago. Meanwhile, Community Shopping Centers reported a vacancy rate of 7.6% for the quarter, which increased from the rate of 7.5% twelve months ago.
